Mauritius
Island southern area (South)
Unlike the other more popular areas, the southern coast of the island
is virtually without tourism facilities. The area is characterised by
its sugar cane crops and vast plantations, frequently open for
public tours.
The interior is dotted with lakes, rivers, streams, waterfalls and
reservoirs that make this region an ideal location for walking
tours.
